So I've just discovered the Diablo Swing Orchestra and they are Mother Freaking Funk! A Swedish avant garde metal band. They sound like metal folk meets Duke Ellington and Wagner. They are brilliant.

The Man Who Could Work Miracles
Even though I've been letting things slide I've done a second reading for Librivox. I'm in Librivox Short Story Collection #033 reading "The Man Who Could Work Miracles" by H. G. wells. The recording can also be heard via SFF Audio: http://www.sffaudio.com/?cat=3

Continuing through timewarped webspace we arrive at "Neutrinos they are Very Small", an exhibition in the early 21st Century and named after a John Updike poem.
From neutrinos we get to "The Troublewith Oscillation" a website artwork by Sally McKay,

I probably should've mentioned this before, but here it is now: One of the best radio stations I've ever heard is now broadcasting on the fm band in my home town of Exeter, Devon, UK! Phonic FM 106.8 broadcasts from the Arts Centre (The Phoenix) in Gandy Street, Exeter and plays the broadest, most eclectic mixture of music you've ever heard on one station. It's possible to switch on Phonic each day and hear something completely different each time, Dub, Blues, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Rock'n'Roll, Hardhouse, Trance, World music, Folk, Folkrock, Country, D'n'B, Indie, and everything in between it all. I love this station! It's so welcome after years of rubbish radio from the other stations in the area (horrible Gemini FM - a generic short-playlist pop station, Gold radio - a generic golden oldies pop station and BBC Radio Devon - news for farming and fishing industries interspersed with middle-of-the-road music).
I love the way phonic will defy the usual patterns of local radio by putting James Brown, Billy Bragg, John Coltrane, Duffy, Pink Floyd, Prince, Fela Kuti, Fairport Convention, Nitin Sawney, The Clash and Bessie Smith all back-to-back with each other!
You can also listen to Phonic online at www.phonic.fm

There's a theory that all possible versions of history exist in quantum parallel universes. If the Americans hadn't bombed Hiroshima a different world would've resulted. The Soviet Union was poised to invade Japan...
