I've loved jazz ever since I was a small child, and yet at the same time I've always been frustrated by the way jazz is presented as if it were a museum piece from the past. I mean, OK, jazz has been around for a long time, but it's also had a bad music press. Jazz fans have been just as guilty as anyone else of giving jazz a bad image.

I decided to make this playlist in the hope that it will encourage people to hear jazz the way I hear it. I define jazz as any music which 'sounds jazzy'.
