The Birds, The Bees and The Monkees
Wandering off topic again...
When I was a little boy of 14 I kept a scrapbook of my favourite pop group's chart positions. Every week I'd cut out the U.K. and U.S. singles and albums charts from the NME, highlight The Monkees position and paste them into the book.
'The Birds, The Bees and The Monkees' (1968) was, in my opinion, a flawed album, suffering from bad production on some tracks. However, when the really badly produced tracks are removed we are still left with 9 tracks which range through amazingly contrasting styles and themes. Here's my trimmed-down version of that album:
